Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, graduated in Architecture and Urbanism from Univeridade Gama Filho in 1983.

In 2001 Vania worked in Angola, hired to coordinate the department of architecture and landscaping of the Angolan Company Ecopar.  Moving on to participated in various government and private projects, including Architectural, Residential building and a University Campus for Gregorio Semedo University in Luanda.

Vania moved to South Africa in 2006, while continuing to execute projects for Angola and Brazil.  Continuing her studies as a Quantity Surveyor in a program of distance education at the University of the Free States in Bloemfontein, which helped her learn the different techniques of construction for South Africa.

With obtaining registration as a Professional Architect with the South Africa Council for the Architectural Professions ( PrArch ), Vania opened her own Architecture and interiors Practice, and has developed a number of projects of success that excel in quality, sustainability and comfort.

Vania participated in the development of architectural projects for Monzeglio Cook Architects and Key Projects, and also worked in interior designs, including work on two casinos for Real Visions Interiors and Terminal four at Dubai International Airport for the company DIAD Interior.

Today Vania is heading up the PHENIX Architecture and Fit-out department with James Hamman and continues to hone her skills as a trusted Architect and interior Designer.
